You and Your Baby’s wellbeing is our main priority
All ultrasound scans are carried out at our premises which is located in a secure business park just outside the town of Strabane. There is ample parking and we operate from a ground floor premises with wheelchair accessibility.
At New Beginnings all scans are carried out on a new high specification ultrasound machine, installed by our Engineer. Couples can enjoy quality images of their precious baby on our 55 inch OLED screen in a relaxed and comfortable environment.
A wellbeing report is included with every scan at New Beginnings and all scans are undertaken by a highly experienced Midwife specialised in Diagnostic Obstetric and Gynaecology Ultrasound.

Available from 24 weeks to 34 weeks
- 20 minutes scanning time
- Hear your Baby's heartbeat and see your baby moving in stunning 4D on our 55 inch OLED TV.
-Full Growth, Wellbeing and Estimated Weight Report sent digitally
- Gender Reveal available ( optional if you want the surprise at birth)
- 15 printed images in 2D and 3D, Videos of baby moving sent directly to your phone via an App on the day.
* 5 additional guests welcome, children may attend as long as supervised by an adult.
Gender Scan
Gender & Well Being Package
- Available from 16 weeks
- 20 minutes scanning time

- Detection of some abnormalities
* Some anomalies can be detected during this scan. Depending on gestation this is not as extensive as your 20 week NHS/HSE anomaly scan. The sonographer will discuss the limitations prior to your scan.

- Gender Reveal available ( optional if you want the surprise at birth)
-Choice of verbal confirmation of gender, coloured lights in the room, or scratch card

Early Viability Scan
Early Viability Scan
-Available from as early as 6 weeks
The primary purpose of this scan is to confirm viability of an intrauterine pregnancy.
Transvaginal scan may be required - As experts in pregnancy ultrasound our sonographers are highly skilled and competent in both trans-abdominal and trans-vaginal ultrasound. While most ultrasound scans are performed over the tummy, sometimes in early pregnancy, trans-vaginal scanning is necessary and allows us to give immediate reassurance and exclude complications such as ectopic pregnancy. Your Sonographer will discuss and explain this at the time of your scan.
- 6 weeks - 10+6 weeks
- If you are unsure of your LMP or have irregular cycles we advise that you book two weeks following your first positive pregnancy test.
This scan is for ladies over 18 years of age

-Available from as early as 11 weeks
- 11 to 14 weeks tummy scan
- 15 minutes scanning time in private setting
-Professional care with our Clinical midwife specialist in pregnancy scanning
-Check for multiple pregnancy
- Visualise your Baby's heartbeat
- Meet your precious baby for the first time
-Create babies first video to show to family and friends
-Well-being report included
-All images and videos will be sent digitally after scan
-Tummy scan so a full bladder is required
* 4 additional guests welcome, children may attend as long as supervised by an adult.
Important
This scan is not an emergency service if you are experiencing any concerns like bleeding, pain or have a history of ectopic pregnancies’ or recurrent miscarriage you must attend your GP or antenatal provider. Emergency services can be accessed out of hours, your GP will arrange an appropriate assessment for you.
